Bihar has been given a special package in the Union Budget. Along with this, the people of the flood-affected area have expressed their gratitude to PM Modi for flood control and many other development works including relief and rehabilitation for the affected area. They said that now there will be relief from the scourge of floods. It is worth noting that more than half a dozen blocks of Muzaffarpur district remain affected by floods.

On Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a comprehensive financial assistance scheme of Rs 11,500 crore to strengthen flood control measures and irrigation projects in different states. Along with this, flood control and flood relief work can be accelerated in the flood-affected areas.
Presenting the Budget for 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha, Sitharaman said the government will provide financial assistance for different projects through the Extended Irrigation Benefit Programme as well as now and through other sources and this will prove to be a milestone.
Bihar often floods and many times the reason for this is the release of water into rivers from outside the country. Every year, many rivers from outside India as well as tributaries face floods. It is hoped that these projects will help now. Also, in view of the extensive damage caused by the floods, our government will provide assistance for reconstruction and rehabilitation through multilateral development assistance.
The areas affected by floods in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district mainly include Aurai, Katra, Gaighat, Mushari, Minapur and Kanti blocks. In such a situation, the villagers of Mushari said that the announcement has been made by the central government, this is a matter of great relief. We thank the government for this. This will give great relief to all of us and the situation of floods will end. Along with this, the people of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar will benefit from this and we villagers will get relief.
