Maharashtra’s metro projects also got approval
Apart from Bangalore Metro, Maharashtra Metro project was also approved. Union Railway and Information Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, the second metro project approved is the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project. This metro project is to be completed at a cost of Rs 12,200 crore. The third project approved is the first phase of Pune Metro. This proposed metro rail line on the south side is spread over a length of 5.46 km from Swargate to Katraj. The total cost of the project is Rs 2,954.53 crore. The target is to start this line by 2029.

Airport related projects approved in Bengal and Bihar
The Union Cabinet has approved airport projects at Bagdogra in West Bengal and Bihta in Bihar worth Rs 2,962 crore. After the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vaishnav said that a new civil enclave has been approved at Bagdogra airport at an estimated cost of Rs 1,549 crore.

A new civil enclave has also been approved in Bihta, Bihar
The project involves the construction of an apron capable of arranging 10 parking bays suitable for A-321 type aircraft. Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved a new civil enclave at Bihta in Bihar. Its estimated cost is Rs 1,413 crore. The project involves the construction of an apron capable of arranging 10 parking bays suitable for A-321/B-737-800/A-320 type aircraft and two link taxiways.
