In the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, SP and Congress had contested together. In this election, both the parties had given a big blow to BJP by contesting together. But the question is whether the alliance between SP and Congress will continue in the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of UP. However, the list released by Congress on Wednesday seems to indicate that things have worsened between the two parties.
Actually, Congress has released a list for the by-elections of 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Rally and media in-charges have been announced in this list.
Will things get worse in UP too?
Lok Sabha Elections In 2015, SP and Congress contested the elections under the All India Alliance. However, after this, there seems to be no agreement between the two parties in other states. In Haryana, Congress did not give a single seat to SP. Not only this, in Jammu and Kashmir too, things did not work out between SP and Congress. After this, SP fielded its candidates on many seats. SP wants to get the status of a national party by winning assembly seats in other states.
There is a crisis in the alliance in Maharashtra too
On the other hand, in Maharashtra too, clouds of crisis are seen on the alliance of SP and Congress. No talks have been held between the two yet. In such a situation, after the setbacks received by SP in different states, it is believed that Akhilesh can give a shock to Congress in the UP assembly by-elections. In UP, the position of SP is considered to be many times stronger than that of Congress.
In the Lok Sabha elections, SP emerged as the largest party in Uttar Pradesh. The party won 37 seats. While its ally Congress won 6 seats. While BJP suffered a major setback compared to 2019 and the party was reduced to just 33 seats, while its ally RLD won 2 and Apna Dal won 1 seat. One seat went to Chandrashekhar Azad’s party Azad Samaj Party. He reached the Lok Sabha by winning the election from Nagina.
