The Lucknow bench of the High Court rejected the bail application of accused Sarfaraz in the case of threatening to kill CM Yogi Adityanath. The court said that the evidence of the case does not constitute a suitable basis for granting bail to the accused. The court has ordered the lower court hearing the case to complete the trial of the case soon.
This order was given by a single bench of Justice Rajiv Singh on the bail application of the accused. In this case related to Gautampalli police station, it was said on behalf of the accused petitioner that he has been falsely implicated in this case. He also does not have any criminal history. Despite this, he is in jail since 12 August 2022.

Opposing the bail application, the government lawyer said that the accused had threatened to kill the CM on the Chief Minister’s WhatsApp number. The STF with the help of other investigating agencies barely arrested the accused along with some accomplices.
Not only this, the device used to threaten has also been recovered during the investigation. This proves the involvement of the accused in the incident. In such circumstances, the accused is not eligible for bail. After the hearing, the court rejected the bail application of the accused.
