The Basic Education Department has issued detailed guidelines for adjustment of teachers within the district in the new session. Under this, teachers from those schools where the number of teachers is high will be adjusted to those schools with less number of teachers. In this also, adjustment will be done only from rural to rural and city to city area schools. Teachers will be able to give the option of maximum 25 schools for adjustment.
As per the instructions of Special Secretary of Basic Education Department, Awadhesh Kumar Tiwari, there will be a committee headed by DM for adjustment within the district. It will have Vice President CDO, DIET Principal, Finance and Accounts Officer Basic and BSA as members. In the session 2023-24, teachers will be adjusted as per the requirement of schools under the rules of RTE on the basis of student strength available on March 31 on the U-Dias portal.
He has said that in schools with more teachers, the junior teacher will be considered more and marked on the basis of the date of appointment of the teachers in the district. Whereas if there are two teachers of the same subject, the junior teacher will be considered more and they will be adjusted. The list of vacant posts will be issued in schools with more and required number of posts. The district level committee will verify the online application forms. The rest of the process will be done through NIC. The timetable and other instructions of adjustment will be issued separately by the Secretary Basic Education Council.
