The body of a youth missing from Kanpur two days ago was recovered in Kali river in Kannauj. The body was kept in a sack, due to which the youth is suspected to have been kidnapped and murdered. Police of Chakeri police station under Kanpur Commissionerate reached the spot and investigated. Two days ago his wife had lodged a missing report at Chakeri police station. A youth from Kannauj is being suspected.

On Wednesday, a dead body of a youth packed in a sack was found in the Kali river in front of village Mahabalipur of Sadar Kotwali area. On information from the villagers, Sadar Kotwal Kapil Dubey and Haji Sharif outpost in-charge Mohammad Taukir reached the spot. Sadar Kotwal Kapil Dubey said that in the preliminary investigation, the name of a youth from Mohalla Mubarakpur Tila of the city has come to light. He has not been found yet. Search for him is going on The case is registered in Chakeri police station, hence the police there will investigate the matter. Information about the incident has been given to higher officials. SP Amit Kumar Anand said that the matter is related to Kanpur. Whatever cooperation is sought from the police there, it will be provided.
