In the case of illegally issuing halal certificates and collecting money, STF has filed a chargesheet against four officials including the chairman of Halal Council of India. STF has collected strong evidence against all of them during the investigation. The investigation of the case will continue further.
Those against whom the chargesheet has been filed include Halal Council of India president Maulana Habib Yusuf, vice president Maulana Mudassir, general secretary Mohammad Tahir Zakir Hussain Chauhan and treasurer Mohammad Anwar. STF arrested them on 12 February. During the investigation of STF, evidence was found regarding the allegations. On the basis of which a chargesheet was filed against the accused.
Investigation continues on many aspects
In this case, in the FIR lodged on 18 November 2023, it was alleged that the purpose behind issuing Halal certificates is to influence a particular community by playing with public faith. According to sources, evidence of this has also come to light. At the same time, it was also alleged that people who hatch anti-national conspiracies and fund terrorist organizations are involved in this. Investigation is going on on this aspect.
According to sources, further investigation is being carried out on the basis of evidence that has come to light in the STF investigation so that the entire network can be exposed.
