Lighting a fireplace in a room to get relief from the cold proved fatal for a family. Luckily, a call came on the home owner’s phone. Due to which the lives of the couple and their two children were saved. A doctor’s family lives in Kundarki Nagar itself. From whom there are two children. Hakim had lit the fireplace in the room to get relief from the cold.
Due to which the family got relief from the cold. The family forgot to close the fireplace before sleeping and everyone fell asleep. Due to the burning of the fireplace, carbon monoxide gas started forming in the room within a short time. At night, when Hakim received a call from an acquaintance on his mobile, Hakim opened his eyes.
Meanwhile, he was having a headache and feeling restless. There he saw that his wife and two children were lying unconscious. On this his attention went to the fireplace burning in the room and the room was filled with smoke due to which he too was having difficulty in breathing. He hurriedly opened the door and window of the room. Due to this, the situation became normal after about an hour.
Be alert before lighting the fireplace or bonfire
- Use bonfire, heater or blower only if there is ventilation in the house.
- Do not sleep near a bonfire
- Be sure to keep a bucket full of water with you
- If you light a fire, avoid sleeping on the ground.
- If there is a child in the house, do not light a fire
- If you use a heater, blower or fireplace at night, there should not be plastic, clothes or chemicals near them.
