Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting on Wednesday in a high level meeting regarding power supply, fertilizer supply, water in canals and destitute cattle. During this, he gave necessary guidelines. He said that adequate power supply should be provided during the humid summer and farming season. There should be no unnecessary power cuts anywhere. He instructed that along with keeping the toll free number 1912 active, a response must be given to the incoming calls of the consumers.
The Chief Minister said that the Minister of Energy Department should have complete details of the daily status of every Discom. The Minister himself should keep an eye on demand and supply. He also said that all the ministers should fix a time to meet the public representatives. Maintain constant communication with the public representatives, understand their expectations, requirements and get them resolved appropriately. He said that before laying underground electricity cables, decide the strategy by holding a meeting with the local administration. Decide together when, where and how to lay the cables. Take full care of the convenience of the common people.
The Chief Minister said that the employees associated with the department should be made in-charge according to the feeder and their accountability should be ensured. Also, in those areas where power cuts have to be done for necessary reasons, supply additional electricity during the day. He said that in those areas where water is available for irrigation only through Tubular, the agricultural feeders there should be supplied with electricity for 12 hours as per the roster.
The Chief Minister said that the work of capacity expansion of old power plants and establishment of new power plants should be expedited. Special care should be taken that there is no power cut in the domestic and industrial sector during the day. He said that such a mechanism should be developed that the accountability of Discom, Zonal, District and then Star can be fixed. CM Yogi said that cases of power theft have been curbed to a great extent as compared to earlier, while improving it further, action should be taken against those who steal power.
Regarding water in canals, the Chief Minister said that this time in the monsoon season, 31 districts of the state have received more than normal rainfall, while 43 districts have received less than average rainfall, while one district of the state has received almost no rainfall so far. He directed that such a plan should be made that whether there is rain in the state or not, every field should get water. CM Yogi said that the districts in which the government tube wells are damaged should be repaired as soon as possible. He said that in 54 districts of the state, more than 80 percent of the canals have been tail fed, better arrangements should be made in the remaining districts as well. He also said that water should be supplied to the reservoirs through canals. Also, ensure the arrangement of desilting of the reservoirs. Make an action plan so that the scheme is sustainable.
Regarding fertilizer supply, the Chief Minister said that there is no shortage of fertilizer in the state. Almost every district of the state has 20-25 days of fertilizer available. He said that fertilizer related committees also have sufficient amount of fertilizer available. CM Yogi said that it should be ensured that every farmer gets fertilizer on time as per his requirement. Strict action should be taken against those who play with the interests of farmers by black marketing and smuggling of fertilizer.
Regarding the destitute cows, CM Yogi said that large conservation centers have been set up in the state for cow protection. He said that necessary arrangements of fodder and straw should be made in the conservation centers for destitute cows. Also, ensure the arrangement of caretakers in government cow protection centers. The Chief Minister said that the Gobardhan scheme should be taken forward in other districts of the state on PPP mode. He said that in view of the rains, vaccination campaigns related to foot and mouth disease, anthrax and anthrax should be run for the destitute cows. Ministers Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantra Dev Singh, AK Sharma, Dinesh Khatik, Baldev Singh Aulakh, Dr. Somendra Tomar etc. were present in the meeting.
