Expansion
Congress will continue to sharpen the issue of reservation. For this, the party will agitate to implement reservation in regular recruitment in educational and medical institutions as well as in contractual and outsourcing recruitments. This agitation will start from August. A letter will be sent to the Governor and the President by protesting around the district headquarters as well as the concerned institute. The responsibility of this has been given to the Backward Classes Department.
The party strategists believe that reservation is a major reason for the support received by India Alliance in UP. Under this strategy, the Congress Backward Classes Department is collecting cases related to the ignoring of reservation. The department is collecting documents related to regular appointments, vacant posts, backlog posts in universities, medical institutes and medical colleges. Similarly, there is a provision of reservation in contractual and outsourcing recruitments, but it has been ignored in various institutions. The Backward Classes Department is also collecting documents related to these recruitments. On the basis of these documents, a memorandum will be prepared and sent to the President and the Governor.
Strategy to protest against road tax from the house
State President of Backward Class Department Manoj Yadav said that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and party’s National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are raising the issue of reservation for backward, Dalits and minorities from the House to the road. Evidence related to the neglect of reservation in the state will be sent to Rahul Gandhi. He will raise this issue in the House. The party will protest in every district on this issue and send a memorandum. The President and the Governor will be demanded that the BJP government wants to end reservation in an unfair manner. Reservation is a right given in the Constitution. BJP is violating it, it will be opposed at every level.
strategy to make political gains
Sources say that Congress is trying to maintain its political advantage through reservation. The issue of reservation is important in this. Just as raising this issue in the Lok Sabha elections has proved beneficial, similarly it can be a politically effective weapon in the upcoming assembly elections as well. This is the reason why the party’s top leadership has instructed the backward class department to keep raising this issue.
