The Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh is being celebrated with great pomp in the entire state from 24 to 26 January. Inaugurating the function in Lucknow on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is today becoming the focal point of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. The state is making a special place in the world.
He said that from 1937 to 1950, Uttar Pradesh was known as United Province. Notification issued as Uttar Pradesh on 24 January 1950. Even after this the state continued to be seen as a questionable state.

Despite all the advantages in the state, there was an identity crisis. Former Governor Ramnaik had said that every state has its foundation day. UP should also be celebrated. The first foundation day of the state was celebrated on 24 January 2018. Today we are celebrating the seventh foundation day. This is special because Lord Ram is seated in his city after 500 years.
Chief Minister Yogi said that the foundation day of the state has become a medium to carry forward the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
