In Uttar Pradesh, the plan to connect women with fish farming to make them self-reliant is gaining momentum. For this, a scheme called Aeration System Establishment has been started. Regarding this, the state government has decided to give relief to the fish farmers and has extended the last date for application of this scheme.
Department extended the last date
The Chief Executive Officer of the State Fisheries Development Agency Department told the media that applications to avail the benefits of this scheme can be made by 3 September 2024. Earlier the portal was opened for online application from 5 August to 19 August 2024, but now online applications in the scheme can be made from 20 August 2024 to 3 September 2024. Application can be made by visiting the official website of the department http://fisheries.up.gov.in.
Subsidy will be given by the government
Let us tell you that those whose ponds currently have a production capacity of at least 4 to 5 tonnes per hectare will be given subsidy by the government to increase their production. At the same time, a 2 horsepower kyad pedal nail will be provided to women fish farmers for a pond of 0.5 hectares and a maximum of 2 aerators will be provided for a pond of 1 hectare or larger. To get the benefit of this scheme, it is mandatory to have a light connection on the pond of the fish farmer, only then the government will be able to give you the benefit of this scheme.
Apply in as many numbers as possible
The department appealed to the women fish farmers to apply in maximum numbers to avail the benefits of this scheme. For more information, you can contact the office of Matsya Palak Vikas Pradhikaran, Room No. F-26, Vikas Bhawan, Lucknow on any working day. In this scheme, women fish farmers, owners of fish seed, hatchery, private ponds and leased ponds, whose ponds have at least five years of lease period left, can apply.

Let us tell you that in the aeration system, an air compressor is used to distribute the air spread at the bottom of the fish enclosure. This increases the upward speed of the water, which provides cool, clean and oxygenated water to the fish in the enclosure. This scheme is completely dedicated to women fish farmers.
