Who gets how much reservation
Let us tell you that there is no reservation system in outsourcing jobs in UP right now, but reservation can be announced soon. According to the report of Dainik Bhaskar, the UP government can announce reservation in recruitments of these two categories before the by-elections. Under this, 21 percent reservation can be fixed for SC category, 27 percent reservation for OBC category and 2 percent reservation for ST category.
No permanent appointments
The UP government is focusing on jobs through these two methods. As the name suggests, contractual recruitment is done on a contract basis, that is, it is for a certain period of time and it ends when the contract is completed. Similarly, outsourcing means that the government gets the work done from an external company.
These companies or third parties arrange employees for the government. All their work, from their selection to salary and contract, is looked after by the third party. The government only has to get its work done from this third party for which a fixed payment is made. These jobs are not permanent and end after the completion of work or tenure. These cannot be called permanent government jobs.
Where are the most recruitments?
This time, how many posts will be filled under contract and outsourcing will be clear only after the vacancies are announced, but if we talk about the present, the report shows that more than 4 lakh employees are on contract and outsourcing. Most of these are in the Medical and Health Department, Urban Development Department, Panchayat Raj Department, etc.
A new rule could be made
Outsourcing employees do not get reservation at present. If this arrangement is to be made for them, then the rules will have to be changed. The reservation system in contract was implemented by the Mayawati government in 2008 and the Yogi government is talking about taking it forward. This time there may be a change in the form and reservation can be given to outsourcing employees along with contract employees.
