Uttar Pradesh government has started sponsorship scheme for disabled children. Through this scheme, the government bears the expenses of children’s education and helps in their upbringing. For this it provides them financial funds. The government provides financial assistance of Rs 4000 every month to disabled children. Under this scheme, which is being run through the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, the government provides assistance to the eligible children.

Which children get the benefit?
Under this scheme, the government provides benefits to disabled children from 1 year to 18 years. Those children get benefits from the government. Those who are destitute and have no one to take care of them. Along with this, parents who are not able to take proper care of their children. They also get benefits under this scheme. Disabled children whose father has died.
Or their mother is divorced or lives away from the family. Or children whose parents’ economic condition is weak or whose parents are not physically and mentally capable of taking care of them. Children who need assistance and rehabilitation. Or the parents of the children have a serious illness. Children who are victims of natural disasters. They are given benefits under this scheme.
How can I apply?
To apply for the sponsorship scheme, one will have to go to the office of the District Women and Child Welfare Department. From there you can apply offline for the scheme. Along with the application form, children’s Aadhar card, income certificate, age certificate, death certificate of parents (if applicable), school registration certificate, all these documents will also have to be submitted.
