The centenary year of the historic Kakori train action, an immortal story of the Indian freedom struggle, will be celebrated with great pomp in the entire state. On the beginning of the centenary year on 09 August, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in the program organized in Kakori, and the immortal martyrs will also be saluted by hoisting the ‘tricolor in every house’ till Independence Day.
In an important meeting on Wednesday, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the centenary year celebrations and gave necessary guidelines. The Chief Minister said that the Kakori train action is the immortal story of the country’s freedom struggle. This is a festival that makes us aware of our responsibilities towards the nation. Next year in 2025, when this incident will be completing 100 years, it is a good opportunity to express gratitude towards our immortal heroes. He said that the memories of the Kakori train action should be paid homage through various programs for a whole year.
He said that after organizing the main function in Kakori on 9th August this year, various programs should be organized at every martyr memorial in the state. Prabhat Pheri should be taken out in schools on 9th August. Debates should be organized on the subject of freedom fighters in schools and colleges. General knowledge competition should be organized which should be related to freedom fighters. The winning children should also be awarded with prizes.
The Chief Minister said that a painting competition should also be organized on this occasion. This painting should be related to local or regional freedom fighters. On 9th August, on the occasion of Kakori Train Action, the tune of the national anthem should be played through the police band at every martyr’s memorial. Before this, a cleanliness drive should be run around the martyr’s memorials. Fruits should be distributed in various hospitals. Youths should donate blood. Also, a tree should be planted in the name of mother.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Kakori Train Action on 9th August, a program should be started to hoist the tricolour in every house. The tricolour should be hoisted in every house between 13th August and 15th August. This should be done in the form of a mass movement. A portal should be prepared on which people should take selfies and upload them after hoisting the tricolour in their houses.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi was apprised that in the Kakori Train Action Centenary Celebration, various programs will be organized on topics like the glorious story of the freedom struggle, national contemplation, tribute to the martyrs, environmental protection as a lifestyle, cultural heritage and glorious history, dedication and service to the nation etc.
