Villagers caught a loving couple red-handed while celebrating in a field outside Didoli village. First, both of them were beaten severely and later they got married in a full panchayat. The matter remains a topic of discussion in the area. This case pertains to a village in Didoli Kotwali area.
A girl living in the same village was having an affair with a young man from the same community living in the neighbourhood. Everyone in the village knew their love story. But the family members were against it. The young man and the girl used to meet their family members secretly. Even on Sunday evening, both were in the sugarcane field outside the village.
Then the villagers went to the spot and caught both of them red handed while having fun. The family members of the love couple were also called. During this, the villagers beat up the young man and the girl severely. Later both of them were brought to the village. After this, a panchayat of responsible people of the village met. The families of both were also called.
During this time, the people present in the Panchayat put pressure on the family members of the couple to get married. At first both their families were not ready for this, but later they agreed. After which the villagers called a Maulana and got them married.
Later, the girl tied the knot with her lover and went to her in-laws’ house. This marriage of the loving couple has become a topic of discussion in the area. Police action has not been taken in the matter.
