The Aam Aadmi Party has announced candidates for the post of Mayor of six Municipal Corporations, 97 Nagar Panchayats and 40 Nagar Palika Parishads including Aligarh. Rajkumar Lodhi has been nominated for the post of Mayor from Aligarh Municipal Corporation. AAP has outdone itself in declaring its candidate for the municipal elections in Aligarh. After his announcement, stir has started in other parties.
The first list of candidates for the UP municipal elections was released from the Twitter handle of AAP’s UP in-charge leader Sanjay Singh. In this, Rajkumar has been declared the mayor’s candidate for the Municipal Corporation of Aligarh. Rajkumar, a sanitary businessman educated till Inter, came to Aam Aadmi Party from BJP only a year ago. He remained in BJP for 15 years. He is holding the post of Metropolitan Vice President of Aligarh in AAP. He is a resident of Amanpur, his elder brother Kripashankar was the block chief. Rajkumar has a son and a daughter and his wife is a homemaker.
AAP mayoral candidate Rajkumar told Amar Ujala that he is thankful to the party for making him the candidate. Will work against corruption after electing mayor. Along with this, work will also be done on education. After the announcement of AAP’s candidate, there was a stir in other parties. Soon BJP, SP, BSP, Congress can declare their candidates.
