ADO Panchayat arrested in Sambhal for taking bribe

On the complaint of Village Panchayat Secretary Sugreev Singh, a resident of village Alampur Kudaiyan, Chandausi, posted in Bahjoi Block, the Anti Corruption Team arrested ADO Panchayat Gurudayal Singh, a resident of village Sehra, Police Station Kailadevi and private computer operator Akash, a resident of village Bamnpuri Kalan, Police Station Kailadevi, on the charge of taking a bribe of ten thousand rupees.
The team reached Bahjoi police station with the accused and gave a complaint to the police. On Thursday at around 10 am, the team reached Bahjoi under the leadership of Inspector Naval Marwah of Anti Corruption Moradabad unit. After completing the departmental formalities, at around 12:30 pm, the team arrested the ADO Panchayat and the computer operator while taking bribe.
The team reached the police station with the accused. The inspector of the anti-corruption team said that a complaint was received from the Gram Panchayat Officer that he had not received his salary for the months of May and June, while he had recorded biometric attendance for both the months.
In these two months, he has also participated in various training and election duty. The ADO Panchayat had demanded a bribe of ten thousand rupees for releasing the salary. He told that after the complaint, he reached Bahjoi with the team and after completing all the formalities, he reached the block office.
Here in the office of ADO Panchayat, the bribe amount was taken by presenting his case on behalf of the complainant. Later, on the instructions of the complainant, he also reached the office with his team and saw that the bribe amount was in the hands of the private computer operator, which was taken on the instructions of ADO Panchayat.
He said that a complaint is being given to the Kotwali police to register a report against the arrested accused.
