On Thursday, three people came to commit self-immolation in front of the UP Vidhan Bhavan. Fortunately, the police personnel deployed there stopped them immediately.
Arun Dixit, who lives in Purva, Unnao, reached in front of Vidhan Bhawan on Thursday. He took out a bottle from his bag and tried to commit suicide. Police personnel stopped him. During interrogation, he said that he has lost hope of getting justice from the police.
A young woman from Hardoi had also come to commit suicide. The allegation was that a young man had been harassing her for the last six months. No hearing was being held. When the Secretariat Chowki Incharge spoke to the police of the concerned police station, he came to know that a charge sheet had already been filed in the case.
Apart from this, Vivek Kumar, a resident of Jalaun, had also come to commit self-immolation. He was also pacified and sent back. According to ACP Hazratganj Arvind Kumar Verma, no such case has come to light.
