Monsoon is progressing at its normal speed. Seeing the speed of monsoon continuously progressing in the country, Regional Meteorological Center Lucknow is predicting good rains in the next two-three days. On Friday also, it rained in many areas of the state. Especially in eastern Uttar Pradesh, the weather remains pleasant even amidst a little heat.
The department has declared eastern Uttar Pradesh completely heat wave free. Along with this, western Uttar Pradesh is also expected to remain affected by heat wave for three to four days. On Friday, while it rained in some parts of the state, Orai and the surrounding area were also in the grip of severe heat wave. Rain will start sooner or later from 23rd June. By 24th, more than 50% of the areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh will be covered by rain. While by 26th, there will be heavy rain in western Uttar Pradesh as well.
Relief continues due to fall in mercury, temperature will drop by 5 degrees
The temperature was recorded at 42 degrees in Kanpur and Prayagraj, 44.6 degrees in Orai and 41.5 degrees Celsius in Agra. The mercury remained below 40 in most areas of the state including Lucknow. The minimum temperature also remained below 30 degrees for the second day. Due to the fall in the mercury, people have got relief from the heat and the weather has remained pleasant. According to Meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, the mercury will start falling gradually from Saturday and the mercury may fall by three to five degrees.
Heat wave and summer will trouble in West UP
According to the meteorologist, eastern Uttar Pradesh has got relief from heat wave, but the western areas will be affected by heat wave. There are chances of some increase in the mercury level.
