Rajesh Verma, the new chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Backward Classes Commission, formally assumed charge on Tuesday. This appointment has been made with the aim of resolving the grievances related to the functions of the State Backward Classes Commission, conference of castes and protection measures and making schemes for the upliftment of backward classes.
On this occasion, along with Rajesh Verma, Vice President Surya Prakash Pal and members Mela Ram Pawar, Vasudev Maurya, Vinod Yadav, Shivmangal Biyar, Laxman Singh, Dr. Murahu Rajbhar, Pramod Saini, Karuna Shankar Patel, Ramshankar Sahu, Vinod Singh and Miss Richa Rajput also took charge of their respective posts.

During the taking over of the charge, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Industrial Development and Parliamentary Affairs Jaswant Saini was specially present. Along with him, Misrikh MP Ashok Rawat, Secretary State Backward Classes Commission Manoj Kumar Sagar, District President Rajesh Shukla, former MLA Sunil Verma and other prominent public representatives were also present on this important occasion.
