What is the allegation against Pooja Khedkar?

If we talk about the Pooja Khedkar case, then she is accused of cheating by changing her identity to make more attempts than the limit. For which the commission had also sent a notice, to which Pooja could not respond. After this, UPSC said on Wednesday that after investigation it was found that Pooja Khedkar violated the rules of Civil Services Examination 2022. Her appointment has been canceled and she has been banned from all future UPSC examinations. Apart from this, UPSC talked about strengthening the process to prevent such cases from coming forward.

Because of the ban

A candidate can be banned if caught cheating during the exam. If a candidate appears for the exam using fake documents, he can be banned. A candidate can also be banned for creating a ruckus in the exam center or disturbing other candidates. Mobile phones, any kind of electronic gadgets, cameras or Bluetooth devices etc. are banned at the exam center. Enrollment for the exam can be cancelled. According to the commission, the candidate can be debarred from all future examinations/selection processes.

According to reports, if a candidate gets a job by using fake documents, action is taken against him as well. As happened in the Pooja Khedkar case. When a candidate is accused, UPSC starts an investigation. A notice is issued to the candidate in which the allegations are mentioned and he is given a chance to respond.
