Even if most of the people in your family are civil servants, then this pressure increases somewhere else. However, whether to take it as pressure or motivation depends on the candidate. At least Anupama always saw it as a source of inspiration and following her father’s footsteps, she passed the UPSC exam and got selected for the post of IAS officer.
Chose UPSC after engineering
Anupama had taken an engineering degree before preparing for UPSC. After this he chose the path of UPSC. The journey here was not easy. Anupama was disappointed in her first attempt when she was not selected. Still, he did not lose courage and prepared with double the enthusiasm.
Succeeded in second attempt
Anupama passed the UPSC exam in the second attempt in the year 2017. This year he got 386 rank and was allotted IAS post. After training in Labasna, he was given Andhra Pradesh cadre. Later Anupama married IAS officer Harshit Kumar of the year 2020. After this he was transferred to Haryana cadre. Presently he is holding the post of ADC in Bhiwani.
There are many civil servants in the family
Anupama’s father has been an IPS officer and served the government for 37 years. Anupama’s grandfather has also been a civil servant. She is mainly from Delhi and did her schooling from here also. Anupama got the inspiration to join UPSC from her family.
This is how success was achieved
When she was not successful in her first attempt, she did not give up but took it as motivation. Worked twice as hard, made father an ideal and considered failure as learning rather than a set back. Working on her shortcomings, Anupama cleared the exam in the very next attempt.
