Got a job abroad but rejected it and prepared for UPSC, one of the best services in the country, and in 2013 became an IAS officer with top-1 rank. We are talking about the famous IAS Gaurav Aggarwal of Rajasthan cadre, who left his foreign job worth lakhs and took up the task of working for the country.
Quit job from Hong Kong and start UPSC preparation
Gaurav Aggarwal also obtained a degree in Finance Management from IIM Lucknow. He received the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence at IIM Lucknow. After doing MBA, Gaurav Aggarwal joined a job as an investment banker in Hong Kong on a good package, however later he left the job and returned back to India. After coming to India, Gaurav Aggarwal started preparing for UPSC.

Became IIT topper at the age of 16
Gaurav Aggarwal became UPSC topper in the first attempt and got IPS rank. After this, in the year 2013, after becoming UPSC topper in the second attempt, he joined Rajasthan cadre as IAS officer. According to the information, IAS officer Gaurav Aggarwal was very intelligent and hardworking in studies since childhood. He completed his early education in Jaipur, after which he passed one of the toughest examinations, engineering, at the age of 16.

In the year 2005, Gaurav Aggarwal graduated in Computer Science Engineering from IIT Kanpur. However, once during the course of doing B.Tech, a little problem arose. This affected his education. Could not clear many subjects of B.Tech and had to give back papers. Because of this he lost one year. For this reason, his degree, which was to be completed in 4 years, took more time to complete.
