US Announces 500 New Sanctions Against Russia: US President Joe Biden on Friday (23 February 2024) announced more than 500 new sanctions against Russia. The reason behind this has been said to be waging war against Ukraine and the death in custody of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
