Uttar Pradesh GDP: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the state’s GDP is expected to reach Rs 32 lakh crore by March 2025. CM Yogi said that the country’s largest economy is moving forward to provide employment to 1.5 crore youth. That means, if Yogi government completes these two targets, then UP will become prosperous in the year 2025. Speaking at a function on Wednesday (December 11, 2024), the UP CM said that the state will play an important role towards achieving India’s 5 trillion US dollar economy.
Yogi Adityanath Said, “The state will soon move rapidly towards becoming the biggest economic superpower of the country. The state has achieved 75 GI tags in 75 districts, with Varanasi leading.” Regarding the initiative to make UP a major logistics hub, he also talked about the construction of Logistics Multi Model Terminal in Varanasi and the proposed logistics hub in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Regarding the Global Investors Summit, CM Yogi said that the proposal of investment of Rs 40 lakh crore has changed the financial background of UP.
‘The government had a policy of one district, one mafia’
CM Yogi said that earlier achieving investment of Rs 20 thousand crore used to be a big achievement. The credit for this change goes to the economic policies of the government, action against mafias and anti-social elements. He said, “Today we have collected proposals worth Rs 40 lakh crore, which have created employment opportunities for 1.5 crore youth. The policy of the previous government was ‘one district, one mafia’, whereas our government created the identity of Uttar Pradesh through ‘one district, one product’.”
What is the target of 2025?
CM Yogi said, “The state’s GDP was Rs 12 lakh crore during the previous governments, now it has touched Rs 26 lakh crore (2023-24), while the target is Rs 32 lakh crore (by 2025). Our government deals with criminals and mafia with the same severity with which they target civilians. “Measures like anti-land mafia task force by the UP government have freed 64,000 acres of land from illegal encroachment.”
6 thousand policemen can take training together
CM Yogi told about the recruitment of 1.54 lakh policemen and state-of-the-art technologies in law enforcement. The simultaneous training of 6,000 police officers in the state and their collaboration with paramilitary and military centers has further enhanced the security infrastructure of the state. Also mentioned was the construction of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressway and the ongoing work on Ganga Expressway. It was also told that Moradabad now exports goods worth Rs 16,000 crore, while Bhadohi’s carpet industry has reached exports worth Rs 8,000 crore.
