Voting started in Siddharthnagar, voters at the center
Voting for the Lok Sabha elections began at 7 am on Saturday. Voters started reaching the polling booths since morning so as to avoid facing the sun. Voting is underway in the district. Voters have reached most of the booths in the district to vote. They are seen standing in queues and waiting for their turn to vote. There are tight security arrangements at the polling booths. The security personnel are allowing people to enter only after keeping their mobile phones outside. Due to the absence of sun, it is being estimated that the voting percentage will be good. Sector and zonal magistrates are visiting the polling booths and taking stock of the situation.

More than 1.5 lakh security personnel deployed
More than 1.5 lakh security personnel have been deployed to ensure peaceful voting in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. These include 8,840 inspectors and sub-inspectors, 68,191 head constables and constables, 48,901 home guards, 49 companies of PAC and 229 CAPFs. Apart from this, 18,862 village chowkidars and 443 PRD jawans have also been deployed as force multipliers.

Voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm. All the voters who are in the queue at the polling booth at 6 pm will exercise their right to vote. In the sixth phase, the maximum number of voters are in Sant Kabir Nagar and the minimum number of voters is in Allahabad Lok Sabha constituency. 162 candidates are in the fray in this phase of Lok Sabha elections. Among them, 146 are men and 16 are women. The maximum number of candidates, 26, are in Pratapgarh and the minimum number of candidates, six, are in Dumariyaganj Lok Sabha constituency.

Voting will be held on Saturday for 14 seats in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections. In the sixth phase, people will cast their votes in the Lok Sabha seats of Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Phulpur, Allahabad, Ambedkarnagar, Shravasti, Dumariyaganj, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Lalganj (SC), Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Machhlishahr (SC) and Bhadohi and Gainsdi assembly by-elections. 162 candidates are in the fray in this phase of Lok Sabha elections. Of these 146 are men and 16 are women. The highest number of candidates, 26, are in Pratapgarh and the lowest number of candidates, six, are in Dumariyaganj Lok Sabha constituency.
