On the same day, a fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on the firm after a passenger found fault in his meal on social media. Apart from this, fine ranging from Rs 20 to Rs 35 thousand was imposed on different lapses.
On the complaint of passenger Vaibhav Singh being given dry roti while returning from Delhi to Varanasi four days ago, IRCTC officials immediately provided him another meal. The passenger had lodged a complaint on the IRCTC website, which IRCTC got the complaint deleted after resolving the problem.
According to the passengers traveling on Vande Bharat, since it is a luxury train, the quality of food should also be accordingly. But, in Vande Bharat also, food is being served like in normal trains. Both complaints and feedback are recorded in the log book with the catering manager.
