When will this train start?
The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project was awaited for many years. If official sources of Railways are to be believed, Vande Bharat train will be started for Kashmir by the last week of January. With the beginning of this project, comfortable railway facilities can be provided to various areas of Kashmir Valley. Railway officials say that the Udhampur-Baramulla project was first to be started in 1898, but difficulties were faced in laying the track on the hilly terrain and it was not possible. CPRO Himanshu Shekhar told ABP News that this will be our first experience of running long trains in snowfall and zero temperature. This is a big challenge, but we have done a lot of research for this.
This train is equipped with these features
According to the information, Vande Bharat Express train has been designed in such a way that there will be no problem in running it even in snowfall and minus 10 degree Celsius. For this, the driver’s seat in the driver’s coach has been made more comfortable than before. Apart from this, a lot of work has also been done on the windshield of the engine. This windshield is made of three layers. There is a layer inside it which will always keep the glass warm. Due to the heat it will be easy to defrost.
There will be no problem even in snowfall
Hot water will keep splashing in the washer of the wiper installed on the windscreen of the engine, due to which snow will not accumulate here. This will not generate steam, due to which the driver will not face any problem in running the train. Better thermostats will be used in all coaches, due to which people’s journey will remain comfortable even in minus temperatures.
This was taken care of in the washroom
When there is minus temperature, the biggest problem is freezing of water. For this reason, silicone insulation has been made and heating filaments have been provided in it, due to which water will not freeze. The water supply pipe also has double triple insulation, due to which water will not freeze in the pipe. The size of the washroom has also been increased. Apart from this, to ensure that the flushing system does not get clogged in minus temperatures, heating pads have also been installed here, which will also prevent foul smell.
Focus on these things too
Keeping in mind that the brakes can function properly during snowfall, moisture will be eliminated through technology. Slippage may occur due to moisture, which causes difficulty in braking. Work has also been done to deal with this problem. There will be facility of RO water in the train. Arrangements for hot water have been made here also.
