Exclusive: ‘Vanvas’ of ‘Genius’ actor and ‘Gadar’ actor ‘Jeete’ Utkarsh Sharma has been released in cinema halls on 20th December. Nana Patekar is also with her in the film. For the past several years, such films had stopped being made in Bollywood, which were made keeping in mind family and emotions. But ‘Vanvas’ is based on the same story with which the makers of ‘Bagban’ had made the audience cry.
The film has received good reviews and most of the critics are calling the film excellent. During this, Utkarsh Sharma, who is playing the lead in the film, talked to ABP News about many special things related to the film. He also talked about the genre of the film, family, emotions, love and respect for elders.
During this, he also talked about that need which Bollywood has now stopped considering as important. While talking about Bollywood vs South, Utkarsh paid special attention to the reasons about which Bollywood should think carefully. Let us tell you that while a Telugu film like Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 1000 crore, no Bollywood film has been able to make such a collection this year.
What did Utkarsh Sharma say on Bollywood vs South?
We asked Utkarsh Sharma what he thinks on Bollywood vs South? Asked about this and also tried to know why the reach of South films is becoming more than that of Bollywood films. The Vanvas actor answered this question seriously.
Utkarsh says, “Bollywood has made remakes of many South films since 2010. Earlier, when a remake was made, it was believed that it would be a good film, only then the remake would be made. Because at that time people were not able to understand that film due to the language barrier. There used to be excitement, but now if you make remakes again and again, that excitement is gone.
‘Bollywood writers have been made translators’
Talking about Bollywood’s approach towards writers, Utkarsh Sharma says, “The writers here were pushed back. Only they are made to do translation work (work of writing Hindi scripts of South movies). So his creativity has ended.
The ability to take risk is gone in Bollywood.
Utkarsh continues his point and says, “You have made remakes of all the good films that have come in the last two decades. After that, what will you be left with? Nothing original will be left because it has become your habit and your ability to take risks has ended.
How did South films reach every village?
Utkarsh further says, “Now that the remakes of South are over, it is obvious that the original content of South will come because it is connected to the roots. That is such content which has been played extensively on TV channels. And the public has joined those stars in the interior. The public connects with a good story and connects with a character they feel like to them.
‘Vanvas’ has the ability to connect with people
While speaking on South vs Bollywood, Utkarsh also says that gradually people from the interior will also connect with his film Vanvas because whatever is shown in it is universal truth. Utkarsh was clear that if Bollywood is not engaged in original and stories that connect with people, then people will also not be engaged in Bollywood films.
