Ever since the recovery agent of a finance company was shot dead on Babatpur overbridge in Varanasi district, there has been a rush of relatives and well-wishers at his house. While people are filled with anger towards the accused regarding the murder of Veer Bahadur Singh, everyone is worried about the disintegration of the family due to the death of Veer Bahadur Singh. On the other hand, his dream of marrying Veer Bahadur’s daughter remained unfulfilled.
There is mourning at Veer Bahadur’s house in Palahipatti. Family members told that Veer Bahadur used to work as a recovery agent under the supervision of Veeru Singh, resident of Babatpur. The elder daughter of Veer Bahadur, the father of two daughters and a son, was married. These days he was searching for a boy for his younger daughter’s marriage. At the same time, the condition of his wife Suman has become like unconscious. The women of the family were handling Suman with great difficulty. After post-mortem, Veer Bahadur’s body was cremated at Manikarnika Ghat.
Accused shot in police custody
The car-riding accused who committed the murder has been caught by a joint team of police and crime branch from Prayagraj district. The accused is an important member of the family of the owner of the car which was stopped on the overbridge by the recovery agent. During initial interrogation of the police, the accused told that the recovery agent was asking him to park his car if the finance installment was not deposited. On this he took out his licensed revolver and tried to scare him. When the recovery agent started snatching the revolver, he did not realize when the bullet was fired.
