150 new buses will arrive in the depot before Maha Kumbh

In view of Maha Kumbh, 150 new buses will be added to the fleet of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation Varanasi Zone. These diesel-powered buses will soon be available to Varanasi Zone. The process has started at the headquarters level. These buses will be run on the Varanasi-Prayagraj route.

Roadways officials said that new buses are being purchased across the state. All new buses are being linked to the Maha Kumbh. Under this process, 150 new buses are also being provided to the Varanasi region. Not a single old bus will be operated during the Maha Kumbh. In view of the Maha Kumbh, the purchase of e-buses, CNG and diesel buses has started. Regional Manager Gaurav Verma said that the process of getting 150 new buses is underway.

Made friendship over phone, came to Varanasi and raped

A young man from Baroda befriended a woman from Varanasi over the phone. After this, he came to Varanasi and raped the woman in a hotel near the Cantt Railway Station. On the basis of the woman’s complaint regarding the incident, the police of Sigra police station registered a case and arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Vikas Ravindra Singh Rajput, a native of Indranagar, Baroda, Gujarat and living in Firozabad, UP.

Sigra SHO Manoj Kumar Mishra said that accused Vikas works as an advisor on commission basis in Aditya Birla Sunlight Insurance in Baroda. He was in contact with the victim for one year. On coming to Varanasi, he took a room in a hotel near Cantt station and raped the victim. He used to give the Aadhar card of his dead wife as the victim’s ID proof in the hotel. Vikas used to introduce the victim as his wife.

Case filed in fraud case against retired BHU employee

Lanka police has registered a case against the accused in a fraud case of Rs 21.50 lakh on the pretext of getting land for a retired BHU employee. Nathu Gaud, a retired BHU employee resident of Chittupur in Lanka police station area, has alleged that Vinod Rai, a resident of Susuwahi, agreed to get land in Ramnagar Bhiti for Rs 33 lakh. In 2020, he also took Rs 21 lakh 50 thousand in exchange for the land. When the time came for registration, he backed out. When the money was demanded, he is threatening to kill.
