Expansion
Due to rain, vegetable prices have doubled. The biggest reason for this is the low arrival of vegetables in Dhanipur Mandi due to crop damage. Currently, only 25 percent of the goods are coming. On September 18, only 100 vehicles, big and small, arrived with vegetables in Dhanipur Mandi, whereas on normal days, 400 vehicles bring vegetables. Apart from pumpkin, no vegetable is less than 80 and 100 rupees per kg.
Due to rain, the crop of vegetables coming from outside has been damaged. The condition of local vegetables is also the same. Most of the vegetables like capsicum, pickled big chillies, green chillies, tomatoes, onions, coriander, ridge gourd, lemon etc. are coming from outside. According to the traders, due to rain, the arrival of vegetables in Dhanipur Mandi has reduced a lot. On normal days, 400 small and big vehicles used to come to the market. But, at present less than 100 vehicles are coming. Due to rain, the arrival of vegetables has reduced due to water in the fields. At the same time, the arrival of vegetables coming from the hilly area has also reduced. On Wednesday, in Dhanipur Mandi, the price of lemon was 100 to 150 rupees per kg, coriander 200 rupees, tomato 50 to 60 rupees and onion 60 to 70 rupees per kg.
