In view of the farmers’ march to Delhi, Delhi Police has completely sealed Singhu, Tikri, Lampur and Auchandi borders. The traffic here has been diverted to other routes. Due to this, vehicles kept moving throughout the day in Outer Delhi, North-West Delhi and West Delhi. However, Special Police Commissioner Madhup Tiwari said that there was less traffic jam on Thursday compared to other days. People have come to know which routes are closed. For this reason people have stopped going there. At the Ghazipur border, Delhi Police detained more than 50 farmers and handed them over to UP Police.
Some farmers knocked on the borders of the capital on Thursday. More than 50 farmers from UP reached Ghazipur border and started sitting on dharna and raising slogans. After some time, Delhi Police took these farmers into custody and handed them over to UP Police. At the same time, some farmers had reached Tikri border from Jind. However, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order Zone-1) Madhup Tiwari has denied the arrival of any farmer at Tikri border. Here, due to the sealing of the border with Haryana, there was traffic jam in the surrounding areas throughout the day, but the drivers on the border of UP got relief like on Wednesday.
Special Police Commissioner (Law and Order Zone-II) of Delhi Police, Ravindra Singh Yadav said that about 50 farmers from UP had reached Ghazipur border. These farmers had come in five different vehicles. Farmers tried to enter Delhi, but all were stopped before the border. After this they were handed over to the UP Police. Farmers have started coming to Delhi in small groups. Due to this, no negligence is being taken in security. Singhu, Tikri, Lampur and Auchandi borders are completely sealed.
