Sankashti Chaturthi 2023: Vibhuvan Sankashti Chaturthi is being celebrated today i.e. 4th August. This fast is observed on the Chaturthi date of the dark fortnight of the month of Sawan. Worshiping Ganesha on this day fulfills all wishes. Due to coming in Adhikamas, this fast is observed once in three years. By observing this fast one gets happiness, prosperity and wealth.

Monsoon The Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Adhik Maas will start on August 04 at 12:45 PM and end on August 05 at 09:49 AM. Along with Lord Ganesha, the worship of Chandradev also has special importance these days. Those who keep fast on this day break the fast only after offering Arghya to Chandradev. On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, the moonrise will be at 09.20 pm.

On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi fast, get up early in the morning, take bath, meditate and clean the place of worship. Always start worship by facing east or north. Take a vow of fasting by lighting incense-lamps and offer Durva, Akshat and vermilion to Lord Ganesha. Keep chanting the mantra ‘Om Ganeshay Namah’ or ‘Om Gan Ganapataye Namah’ in the worship of Ganapati. Make sure to offer modak or laddus to Lord Ganesha during worship. Recite the Vrat Katha in the evening. Pass the fast by offering Arghya to Chandradev.
