Vicky remembers the old days
Reliving old memories, Vicky said, “It was in 2010 when I wanted to become an actor and wanted to direct the film Neeraj Ghaywan.” We both started our career together as assistant directors in the film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. After this I started doing theater to enhance my acting skills. Then in 2013, we met again during a trip to Pune and we started talking about our life and work.
Who was the first choice for the film ‘Masaan’?
The actor further said, “During the conversation, I came to know that Neeraj Ghewan is making the film ‘Masaan’ and is looking for a producer, but he is facing a lot of problems regarding that film. Then Neeraj Ghewan shared that he has made a pilot promo video on the film with Rajkumar Rao, but due to some reason he cannot do the work. After which I got an offer for the film ‘Masaan’. Due to the low budget of this film, he could not make the shooting of the fair scene. He had to wait for that.
The actor further added, “The fair in Banaras usually happens in the month of October and there were some issues with Rajkumar’s dates, so there was a vacancy for that role and I straight away jumped in to audition for it. Was selected for that role.” Vicky recalled how he started crying during the shooting of a film, adding, “In ‘Yeh Dukh Kahe Kharim Na Hota’, I cried a lot. I didn’t have to cry. , But somehow, I cried and screamed and completed the scene.”
