First marriage with director Sameer Malkan
After the success of Love Story, Vijayta also appeared in films like ‘Jeete Hain Shaan Se’, ‘Deewana Tere Naam Ka’, ‘Mohabbat’ and ‘Car Thief’. Vijayta had fallen in love with Sameer Malkan, the director of her film ‘Car Thief’. Later both of them got married. However, Vijayta and Sameer soon got divorced.
Second marriage with music composer Aadesh Srivastava

In the year 2010, Aadesh came to know about his illness. He underwent a lot of treatment and a lot of money was spent. But he could not be saved.
The actress told in an interview to Times of India that, ‘All the money he earned was spent on his treatment. He sold his luxury car for Rs 1 crore so that he could go to London, US and Canada for treatment. Later, I also sold my car which he had gifted me on my birthday.’
