While talking to ABP Live, Vikrant told the reason for leaving the TV industry. He said- ‘There was a reason why I left television. I don’t enjoy television because I don’t subscribe to the kind of content they are producing. Even today it seems very substandard to me. Perhaps this is his definition of entertainment. They give inferior roles to women.

Regarding doing ‘Balika Vadhu’, Vikrant further said – I was a part of ‘Balika Vadhu’ and this show strengthened hundreds and lakhs of people. I can proudly say that the show contributed a lot towards women’s safety and girls’ education. After doing this kind of content, I had a lot of fights with the makers and I left some shows.
