Villain Ranjeet: There have been many great villains in the history of Hindi cinema. The charisma of villains on the silver screen was seen the most in the 70s and 80s. During that period, there were many great villains like Amrish Puri, Prem Chopra, Shakti Kapoor, Danny Denzongpa, Amjad Khan and Pran Saheb.
Ranjit was also a dreaded villain of that era. Actor Ranjit needs no introduction. He has worked in about 200 Bollywood films. He did rape scenes in many films. However, he is very shy in real life. In an interview, the actor made some big revelations about himself and Bollywood celebs.
Never drank alcohol, never ate non-veg
Villain Ranjit also appeared as a drunkard in many films. But he never tasted alcohol in his life nor does he eat non-veg. However, at one time, big Bollywood actresses and big actors used to party at the actor’s house. Celebs used to drink and eat non-veg as well.
Parveen Babi used to make drinks, Rajesh Khanna used to drink the whole bottle
A few months ago, Ranjit had revealed about the star parties held at his house. In an interview given to ANI, he had said, ‘My parents lived in Delhi and I lived in Juhu. Everyone used to come to my house every evening, because there were no formalities or restrictions in my house. Reena Roy used to come to my house and make parathas, Parveen Babi used to come to my house and make drinks.
Mousami Chatterjee used to cook fish. Neetu Singh used to cook ladyfinger and the atmosphere of the house was very good. Among the male guests, Sunil Dutt, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Khan, Feroz Khan, Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha used to be present. People like Rajesh Khanna used to drink one or two bottles of liquor in a night.
Ranjeet was last seen in ‘Housefull 4’
82-year-old veteran actor Ranjit gave many great films in his career. His brilliant films include ‘Sharabi’, ‘Suhag’, ‘Laila Majnu’, ‘Rocky’, ‘Dharam-Veer’, ‘Prem Pratigya’, ‘Dharamatma’, ‘Namak Halal’ and many more.
