Jabalpur. There was a commotion in the Garib Rath train going from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh to Mumbai when a snake suddenly appeared in the train coach. On seeing the snake, there was a stampede among the passengers. The passengers left their seats and started running. At the same time, the video of the snake wrapped around the handle in the train coach is going viral on social media. It was a relief that nothing untoward happened. The snake did not bite anyone.
According to the passengers, it is not known when and how the snake came inside the coach. But as soon as the train left Jabalpur station, the doors of the coach were closed. Passengers say that the snake was already present in the coach, which was hiding under the luggage. However, as soon as the passenger saw the snake in coach number C-17, he got scared. This scene was near Kasara railway station, where the poisonous snake was wrapped around the handle in the train coach.
The snake was not found, a new coach was installed
As soon as the information about the snake was received, the railway team reached the spot. However, the railway tried its best to search for the snake. But, the snake could not be found. Due to this, the passengers created a ruckus after reaching Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus station. So the officials removed the coach and put another coach. After this, the passengers heaved a sigh of relief. Thankfully, there was no loss of life during this time.
Negligence of mechanical department
After the incident, the negligence of the mechanical department is clearly visible. The coaches undergoing maintenance in Jabalpur yard are not being checked properly, due to which passengers are witnessing such incidents. However, this was not the first time. Even before this, the railway has been receiving complaints of cockroaches, rats and sprinklers in the coaches during rain.
