Virat Kohli Completed 12 Years In Test Cricket: Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli has completed 12 years in Test cricket today. He made his Test debut on this day i.e. June 20, 2011 in Kingston against West Indies, since then Kohli has played 109 Test matches for India. On completing 12 years in his Test career, Kohli posted a post through his social media, in which he wrote a heart touching thing.
Kohli made his international debut in 2008 through the ODI match played against Sri Lanka. After this, in 2010, he made his debut in T20 International cricket while playing against Zimbabwe. Whereas Kohli posted a post about his Test career, in which he is seen in white Test jersey. Captioning this post, King Kohli wrote, “Today marks 12 years in Test cricket. Forever grateful.”
Kohli is India’s most successful Test captain
Kohli was made the captain of the Indian Test team after former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Under the captaincy of Kohli, the Indian team played 68 Test matches, in which the Indian team has won 40 and lost 17. Kohli did the Test captaincy for the first time in 2014. At the same time, he played the last Test match as captain in 2022 against South Africa.

King Kohli has so far played 109 Tests, 274 ODIs and 115 T20 Internationals in his international career. Batting in 185 innings of Test, he scored 8479 runs at an average of 48.72.
