Vivek Agnihotri Told Media Reports On His Justice Muralidhar Court Of Contempt Case Biased Kept His Side By Tweeting | Vivek Agnihotri told some media reports on contempt case as biased, wrote

Vivek Agnihotri Tweet: The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri got relief yesterday in a contempt of court case. The director had tendered an unconditional apology in the matter, after which he was cleared of all charges by the Delhi High Court and acquitted. Taking suo moto cognizance, the court had registered a contempt case against the director. Vivek Agnihotri was accused of making controversial tweets against Justice S Muralidhar in 2018. In this case, Vivek appeared in the court on Monday and tendered an unconditional apology. At the same time, Vivek has shared a screenshot of his media statement by tweeting and has criticized some media reports while keeping his stand in the whole matter.

Now Vivek has tweeted that the way my statement is being reported against me by some biased media and political parties on yesterday’s developments in Delhi High Court in contempt case is completely wrong. Explaining the reason for this, he has shared a note regarding his statement.

Vivek told his statement to the court
Vivek has written, My statement on the contempt petition and acquittal resolved by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court- Five years ago, the US-based ‘Drishtikon’ published an article on Gautam Navlakha, who was accused of threatening the integrity and sovereignty of India. Was arrested on serious charge of putting. I posted the article as a Tweet thread, citing only the source and author. Subsequently, the Delhi High Court in ‘Drishtikon’, S. Issued suo motu notice of contempt of court against Gurumurthy and me.

The article was immediately removed by the author with an apology. After which S Gurumurthy apologized unconditionally in the court. This left me with no right and I was forced to apologize morally and intellectually for sharing information from that source. To present it otherwise as a fight for justice and courage would be pretentious and wrong. Playing in the gallery by turning this issue into something it is not is not fair and a sheer waste of creative energy. I have immense respect for the Indian Judiciary and I will never say or write anything which is baseless and against the sanctity of our Judiciary which is one of the pillars of our nation.

Received threats after the release of ‘The Kashmir Files’
Vivek further wrote that trapping a person in legal matters, defaming him through fake news and wasting his time and energy in reacting every now and then, thereby diverting his attention from his quest, is not uncommon in our democracy. Since the release of ‘The Kashmir Files’, I have been attacked by various sections of extremists, separatists, media, political parties, dreaded communal fact checkers, other vested agencies, film festival jury members, and their trolls and bots both online and in real life. I have been disturbed. There are open fatwas and threats against me. I have been served several legal notices, from actors to fundamentalist religious bodies to court cases. My family, (especially my younger daughter) is being openly abused and threatened by some communal fact checkers and their associates. This is my reality and all in the public domain.

Vivek Agnihotri is working on these projects
Vivek further writes in his mission of an Indic renaissance through his work, without losing patience, I am focused on my project with firm belief and determination. My aim is to create awareness about the greatness of Indian civilization and highlight our great history, philosophy, sacrifices, strength and achievements so that the young generation can feel proud of their rich heritage. From Urban Naxal to The Kashmir Files, my team and I have fought a unique battle. The next few years of my life are dedicated to these projects.

  • Kashmir Unreported – A feature length documentary series on Kashmir
  • The Vaccine War – A feature film on the creation of an indigenous Covid vaccine
  • The Delhi Files – A feature film on the hidden truth of India’s bloody partition
  • The Fall of Nizam – a feature film
  • 3 Part Feature Film Series on India’s Greatest Epic
  • Establishment of a World Class Indic Research Unit (First in Indian Cinema)

Vivek further writes, “I want India to be an inspiration to the world. And my contribution to this work of Indian renaissance is possible only when I can do what I have thought. Till then I want to save my energy for the real war. Till then I want to breathe. so that i can make
