Vivek Oberoi revealed he did not get vanity van like rani mukerjee on saathiya set touch up on streets took nap on bench

Vivek Oberoi On Saathiya Set: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is now focusing more on business than films. Although at one time he has worked with many big actors and actresses. He was seen with Rani Mukherjee in the 2002 film Saathiya. Now years later, the actor has revealed that during the shooting of the film, Rani Mukerji had got a vanity van, but not him.

While talking to the screen, Vivek Oberoi shared his experience from the sets of Saathiya. He said- ‘Saathiya was a small budget film and only Rani used to get the make-up van. I had to go to the restaurant bathroom and the hotel washroom to change my clothes. I did touch-ups on the streets. No one knew who I was. I used to keep the tripod on my shoulder and walk with the rest of the crew.

Vivek used to sleep on the bench after 22-23 hours of shooting.
Vivek further said- ‘I have shot continuously for 22-23 hours for Saathiya. I used to keep newspapers on the bench and take naps so that I look fresh. During this, the actor also mentioned an accident that happened on the set. He told- ‘On April 12, 2002, Company was released and that Sunday we were shooting near the railway channel of Gaiety Galaxy. This is the scene where I am chasing Rani. We started shooting, it was a normal day. By then Rani had become a star. That’s why he had a security guard.

Vivek was surrounded by 2000 people
The actor said- ‘Around 11-12 o’clock suddenly people started shouting Chandu Bhai and I became very happy. Out of those 4-5 people, about 2000 people gathered there and the entire security system came to nothing. I was nervous because a day was going to be wasted. Shaad wanted to get me out of there, so he pushed me into Rani’s makeup van and I was looking out the window. They were shouting dialogues. Eventually, they had to call the police and they told me to leave.

Like Rani Mukherjee, Vivek Oberoi did not get a vanity van, used to change clothes in the bathroom on the sets of 'Saathiya', used to rest on the bench

‘Picked me up and put me in the police van’
Vivek Oberoi further said- ‘Shad opened the door and said wait and see if it is for you. He told me I was a star. Then the policemen picked me up and put me in the police van and took me away as if I was a common criminal. Then we shot the same scene with police security the next Sunday.
