Donald Trump: Indian-American leader Vivek Ramaswamy has supported Donald Trump’s mass deportation plan against illegal immigrants. He said America’s legal immigration system is “broken” and needs to be fixed. Speaking to ABC News, Ramaswami said, “Those who broke the law and entered America have no right to live here. They should leave this country.”
Ramaswami also said that as a first step, America should ensure compliance with the law. He clarified that those people who have recently come to the country and have committed any crime in the country should be expelled. Apart from this, it was also said that government assistance for illegal immigrants should be ended so that the process of voluntary expulsion can start.
America needs to unite now
Vivek further said that America needs to be united after the election results. Giving importance to Trump’s victorious approach, he said, “This election was a gift to the country and now we have to create an environment where there is unity among all Americans, no matter what their political views are.” Ramaswamy talked about working for the betterment of the country under Trump’s leadership.
Positive impact of Trump’s decisions for the countrymen
Ramaswami also said that Trump’s decisions will benefit the American people. Giving examples, he said, “Many people who have made false assumptions about Trump will be surprised when they find that their salaries are increasing, prices are decreasing and security at the border is increasing.” He believes these are the same issues that are important to most Americans.
Ramaswami’s future and role in the party
Vivek told that he is part of many high level discussions regarding his future role in the Republican Party. Although he had earlier given a statement of standing against Trump in the Republican primary, but now he has said in support of Trump that his aim is to unite the country and this is his priority.
