Hazaribagh: With the onset of monsoon, the main road from Hazaribagh to Chatra has taken the shape of a pond in Pagmil. After the rain, there is 1 to 2 feet of waterlogging on the road. There are also big potholes in some places on the road. Due to which electronic rickshaws and motorcycles keep getting into accidents every day. Due to which the local people have become very upset. The local people appealed at many places to build the road, but when they got disappointment from all sides, people lay down in the water on Jal Satyagraha. Their way of protesting was also very unique. Where a man was lying on the road and incense sticks were burning around him. As if someone had died in a road accident. People were mourning all around.

Local Shahid Ali says that this road in Hazaribagh’s Pagmil has been in bad condition for the last three years. There are two to three feet deep potholes at various places. Also, waterlogging remains on the road from July to September-October. In such a situation, many accidents are seen here every day. Bike riders and electronic rickshaw drivers face the most problems. Many people get seriously injured in accidents.
He further said that during the rainy season, people of this entire area avoid coming to the market. Due to which the local shopkeepers are also very upset. It has become difficult for the local people to move around. If one goes out of the house wearing clean clothes, then by the time he reaches home, the clothes are smeared with mud. Applications were given to the local public representatives and many government offices to build this road. But no one took it seriously. Due to which today the local people are sitting and lying here in Jal Satyagraha.
