The air quality was also good in the morning and the air quality index was recorded at 148. Due to the effect of western disturbance, there has been rain and hailstorm along with thunderstorm at different places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and UP. More than 350 roads, including four national highways, are closed due to snow and rain in Himachal.

Due to the influence of western disturbance, heavy rains were also recorded in many districts of Rajasthan. Dausa and Churu received two centimeters of rain. At the same time, one centimeter rainfall was recorded in some areas of Tonk, Jhalwad, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted improvement in the weather from next week.

Uttarakhand: Snowfall, rain continues in Garhwal division

Rain and snowfall continued in Garhwal division of Uttarakhand on Saturday also. While there was heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Tehri and Rudraprayag districts, there was intermittent rain throughout the day in the lower areas. Apart from this, cold also increased due to rain in Pauri, Dehradun and Haridwar districts. Along with Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham, tourist places are Roopkund, Vedni Bugyal, Baguwawasa, Ali Bugyal, Bhikaltal, Brahmatal, Bagji Bugyal, Mohini Danda, Second Kedar Madmaheshwar, Third Kedar Tungnath, Kalishila, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers. Also, there was heavy snowfall in Rudranath, Lal Mati, Nanda Ghunghati, Neeti and Mana Valley, Gangi, Pinswad and Gainwali.
