IMD Weather Forecast: Monsoon is once again in full swing in most parts of the country including the capital Delhi. The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning regarding rain in many states including North India. There was light rain at some places in Delhi on Saturday (7 September 2024). According to the Meteorological Department, the weather of Delhi will remain the same for the next few days. IMD has issued a yellow alert on Sunday (8 August 2024) regarding rain in Delhi.

There will be heavy rain in these places

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 7 to 10 September 2024. At the same time, heavy rains are expected in many parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra on 8 and 9 September and in Vidarbha on 12 September. A period of torrential rains has started once again in Rajasthan.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in many parts of Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. Monsoon will remain active in eastern Rajasthan for the next two-three days. On September 8, rain activity will continue in some parts of Ajmer, Udaipur and Jaipur divisions.

It will rain again in Uttar Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in many areas of coastal West Bengal, northern Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining northern Chhattisgarh. According to the IMD, a period of rain is going to start once again in Uttar Pradesh. Rain may start in many parts of the state including Lucknow from Monday (September 2, 2024).

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of the risk of mild floods in five districts of Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, 40 roads are closed due to rain in the state. According to the IMD, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in 10 out of 12 districts of the state except Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti. Officials said that a total of 155 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents during the monsoon season and the state has suffered a loss of Rs 1,303 crore. (Input also from agency)
