Weather Update: It is extremely cold in entire North India including Delhi. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department has given the weather condition of different parts of the country. According to IMD, there is a possibility of dense fog and severe cold in many parts of the country in the next 2-3 days. Apart from this, IMD has also predicted rain in some parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe cold in Delhi and its surrounding areas in the next two days. Some parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan may experience severe cold from January 4 to 5. After this, the cold is likely to gradually reduce here.
Chances of rain in these states
According to IMD, there is a possibility of cold wave at different places in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan on January 5 and 6. There may be heavy rain in Tamil Nadu from 4 to 8 January. There are chances of heavy rain in Kerala during 4th to 6th January and in Karnataka on 4th and 5th January.
There will be dense fog in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for the next three days. Also, visibility at these places will be less than 50. There will be dense fog in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from January 5 to 7.
Alert issued regarding dense fog
On January 5, there is a possibility of dense fog in some parts of Madhya Pradesh for a few hours in the morning. Apart from this, an alert has also been issued regarding dense fog in many parts of the country. A warning has been issued regarding fog in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next two days. The fog will start reducing after 7th and 8th January. Apart from this, cold wave warning has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, some areas of Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab.
