Nana Patekar On Welcome To The Jungle: Akshay Kumar is coming with a new film of the Welcome series. The star cast of this film is very big but two characters are missing in it. They are Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai. It is a bit difficult to imagine Welcome without Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai. Both Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are not a part of this film. Nana Patekar has revealed in an interview why he refused to be a part of the film.
Welcome (2007), directed by Anees Bazmee, is a cult comedy film. It proved to be a hit at the box office. The characters of Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai were loved the most in this film.
Nana Patekar told the reason
In an interview to Lallantop, Nana Patekar said, ‘Initially, there was doubt in playing the role of Uday Bhai, so he asked Anees to swear on his mother that this role would suit him. But if Anil and I were not together, this would not have been completed. Welcome is possible only if Anil and I were together. If you remove me, he cannot make Welcome alone and similarly if you remove him, I cannot make it alone.’
Nana further said- Welcome Back was also directed by Anees Bazmee but this film could not do wonders at the box office. Nana told that he and Anil Kapoor refused for the third sequel of the film. Ahmed Khan is directing this film. He approached us but we refused. There is no story, we did not enjoy it that much.
Talking about Welcome to the Jungle, this film will be released on Christmas 2024. In this, many actors including Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Mika Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav will be seen playing important roles.
