What is Gland TB?
Tuberculosis bacteria reach out of the lungs and reach the throat. In the language of medical science, it is called cervical tubercular lymphadenitis. It is also known as scrofula. In this disease, the infection spreads to the nodes of the throat, due to which the nodes and throat become swollen. The disease spreads by going into the mouth of infected things or by exchanging bacteria with an infected person. Tuberculosis is most common in the street after the lungs. The problem of Gland TB occurs mostly in immunosuppressed patients. In this problem, a lump forms on the patient’s throat or affected area. The lump starts developing like tonsils.
Symptoms of Gland TB?
If there is TV in the throat, the patient’s throat becomes swollen and sores on the inside. There is a problem of swelling and pain in the nodes and lymph nodes of the throat. When this problem increases more, pus and other fluids also start coming out from the patient’s throat.

Throat TB test
- To check for TB in the throat, a sample is taken by inserting a syringe into the lump, which is called FNAC.
- TB test is also done by not doing CB test.

Throat TB treatment
By the way, the lymph node can be cured by TB medicines, the doctor advises the patient to take many types of medicines and antibiotics for 6 months, but in some cases it is not cured by medicines, then it needs to be removed by surgery. Apart from this, you can feel better by eating nutritious food and exercising.
